Hi @Houbre28,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let's check a few things before reinstalling the audio device.
Check Audio Settings
- Click on the Speaker icon in the system tray (bottom right).
- Ensure the correct audio output device is selected.
- Increase the volume if it's muted or too low.
Restart Audio Services
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll down and find:
- Windows Audio
- Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
- Right-click each and select Restart.
Check Device Manager
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
- If you see a yellow triangle on the audio device:
- Right-click it and choose Update driver → Search automatically.
- If that doesn’t work, choose Uninstall device, then restart the PC.
Install HP Audio Drivers
- Go to HP Support.
- Enter your PC model and download the latest audio drivers.
- Install and restart your PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
