The only suggestion I can offer, would be to update the audio driver to the latest version, and restart the PC.

1. Download the file by clicking the link above, and save the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Try this. It worked with me. The error is due to a Microsoft update of the Intel drivers. Mine is a similar All-in-one

  • Open Device Manager (Open the start menu, type Device Manager and press enter) and select System Devices (close to the end of the list).
  • Locate Intel Smart Sound Technology driver (SST).
  • Right-click and select Update Driver from the pop-up menu.
  • Choose browse my computer for driver software and then Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer and select High Definition Audio.
  • Click Next.
  • Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) driver will disappear and you should have Audio back.
