I'm having issues with my realtek audio driver on windows 11.
The audio from my HP Pavilion Gaming "fries".
Originally was installed windows 10 and in 2020 I updated to windows 11 with no problems at all.
Some months ago I did a factory data reset and this cause the audio driver problem.
I can't return to windows 10 anymore (there is no option to reinstall an old version of windows).
WIth microsoft assistant I tryed to reinstall the driver on my pc but the problem remains.
They asked me to try contact HP assistance for a windows 11 realtek driver to install (I can't find the windows 11 driver on HP website, there is only the windows 10 option).
Seems that actually my pc was not designed to work perfectly with windows 11.
Anyone can help me to solve this problem? I just need the right driver to install, i think.

If you want you can restore the 10 by using the cloud recovery
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

Hi, I don't have a cloud recovery.
Thanks, I see this driver is from an HP Envy model (I can't download it from that link); my is a Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx : are you sure is save for me install this driver? (when I find how to download it)

Hi, @Johnjovy
You may want to try the W11 audio driver from the slightly newer 15-ec1000 model series before going outside of the model series looking for other options.

I installed the sp123204.exe driver file from the link you sent me today but the problem is still there.
The audio fries after few minutes watching a youtube video.
With external devices, like buds, the audio is ok.
The problem is only with the laptop internal speaker.

I would use the HP cloud recovery tool media and hopefully that will make things right.
BeemerBiker posted the link for how to use the recovery media you created.
Back up any files you need to save onto a portable hard drive.
Plug the USB recovery media in the USB port.
Restart the PC, immediately tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the HP USB recovery drive and press the enter key.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the factory reset.
It could take a while, so be patient.

Run the notebook on W10 for a while and give the audio a good test.
If it works, try upgrading back to W11.
If W11 still gives you audio problems you have 10 days to easily go back to 10.
