Solved: remote speakers - HP Support Community

I plugged in my remote B&W speakers to the headphones jack on the side of my screen, and it worked fine until I needed to use the computer microphone on a Google Meet call. Apparently, using the headphone jack disconnects the computer microphone. How can I use my remote speakers and still use the microphone? Can I use the HDMI n the back? Is the HDMI audio out in a way that does not interfere with the computer microphone?

(1) Headphone/microphone combo jack

if you use the built-in microphone with the webcam, connecting the headset could disable, replace the audio source..
open the audio settings, once the headphones are connected, check / change the Input source if possible
