Hi @dhanesh911

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for flagging that—SmartAudio3 errors can be a real nuisance, especially when they pop up during startup or interfere with sound. This issue is usually tied to the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver, and it can happen if the driver is outdated, corrupted, or misconfigured.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help clear it up:

🧼 Step 1: Uninstall SmartAudio3 and Conexant Driver

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
  3. Right-click Conexant SmartAudio HD and choose Uninstall device.
  4. Check Delete the driver software for this device, then click Uninstall.
  5. Restart your computer.

🔄 Step 2: Reinstall the Latest Audio Driver

  • Visit the HP Support page for your device.
  • Enter your product name and download the latest audio driver available for your model.
  • Install it and restart your PC.

🧪 Step 3: Run the Audio Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Find Playing Audio and click Run.
  3. Follow the prompts to detect and fix sound issues.

🧰 Step 4: Disable SmartAudio from Startup (Optional)

If the error persists:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Startup tab.
  3. Right-click SmartAudio3 and choose Disable.
  4. Restart your PC.

Let me know how it goes or if you'd like help finding the exact driver for your HP model. We’ll get your sound system back in harmony! 🎵
