@Chinmayee33, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble enabling Spatial Sound on your laptop's built-in speakers, while it works fine over Bluetooth. Let's walk through some steps to help resolve this issue.
Check Default Playback Device
- Right-click the Sound icon in the taskbar.
- Select Sounds > go to the Playback tab.
- Ensure your laptop speakers (usually listed as "Realtek Audio" or similar) are set as the Default Device.
- Click Properties > go to the Spatial Sound tab.
- From the drop-down, select Windows Sonic for Headphones or Dolby Atmos, if available.
- Click Apply and OK.
Update Audio Drivers
- Open Device Manager (right-click Start > Device Manager).
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click your audio device (e.g., Realtek) > Update driver > Search automatically.
- Alternatively, visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and enter your laptop model to download the latest audio drivers.
Run HP Support Assistant
- Download or open HP Support Assistant. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Go to the Troubleshooting and Fixes section.
- Run the Audio Check to detect and fix issues automatically.
Enable Audio Enhancements
- Go back to Sound Settings > Playback tab > select your speakers > Properties.
- Under the Enhancements tab, ensure Disable all enhancements is unchecked.
- Try enabling Loudness Equalization or other enhancements and test again.
Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and ensure your system is fully updated.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
