Product: HP Pavilion p7-1240 Desktop PC

1720 Smart Hard Drive detects imminent failure on a black screen  Failing attribute  #02 No options appear. Can't get to boot menu, boot to cd, get to bios or anything. Removing drive and connecting via USB to a laptop allows me to see the data. Running chkdsk shows the drive to be good. Baffled by the message and how to get around it. Can't even seem to get to recovery. The PC is locked once that screen comes up. What should I do ?
