My HP Slim Desktop PC wouldn't boot up this afternoon after it took a short fall while i was moving it. When I tried to boot it up it beeped. It was two long beeps followed by two short beeps. I read that it could be corrupt bios. I think in my case it was more physical. What I ended up  doing was reseeding the two sticks of RAM. I had read somewhere, maybe here that could be a possible solution. Not easy to get to because the RAM  sits under the CD and HDD. After unplugging the PC I removed the side panel and gently popped off the front panel without damaging the the delicate power button connection. There are 4 small screws securing the the CD and HDD housing to the main body of the case. Use a magnetic precision screw driver to remove them. This way you don't run the risk of dropping them onto the motherboard or just plain losing them. Be sure to to disconnect the the power and data supplies from the the CD and HDD before removing the housing. To remove the RAM gently depress the two locking feet on either side of each stick.  I love the versatility of the small form factor but its a pain to get under the hood. After I removed the RAM and waited for about 15 minutes before I popped the sticks back in. After reassembling Humpty Dumpty I powered it on and it booted as normal. Thank goodness!
