I have the same problem with mine. I got my 1st one on June 30. It did exactly what yours did. I got disgusted and returned it to Best Buy on July 17. I figure it is bad hardware and the odds were pretty high that I would have this problem on another one. I was wrong. after I was done transferring files into the new one, it started shutting down again. I'm having difficulties contacting HP. Geek squad is coming to my house on the 24th to fix this problem. If they can't, I will return this computer and get a different brand.
