Hi everyone,
My Hp envy 34 curved all-in-one only gives the led flash/beep code error of 3 long followed by 4 short, high pitched beeps. This cycle repeats 5x before it turns off again. The screen stays black but does work when used as a monitor through HDMI in port. I've gone through the forum / what else I could find, trying to take wireless keyboard & mouse USB dongle out, changing memory, changing power supply - quite a few things, but with no luck.
I hope someone here has some advice.
Thanks in advance!
Regards.

@elphaza -- please read: Solved: 3 Beeps 4 Beeps - HP Support Community - 7602379
for a possible solution to your issue.
Was your computer previously working correctly, for a long time, before the symptoms appeared?
If this is a brand-new system, either take it back to the retail store that sold it to you, and exchange it,
or contact HP Support, to open a claim against the 12-month warranty, for HP to repair/replace your computer, at their expense.

Hi there, thanks for your response. The computer was working previously, although I bought it from a friend without the processor, as I have an i7 8700T CPU spare (confirmed working). The system is unfortunately just out of warranty, however.

Hi there, thanks for your response. I don't however get the 'unsupported adapter installed' error - there's nothing on the screen during the beeps or after before it shuts down. After reading through the thread you suggested & seeing the volatilities other customers have experienced, do you think it could still, even though it should be compatible with the motherboard, have something to do with the new i7 8700T CPU I installed?

For me no direct link, since visibly compatible, the error code, would correspond to the power supply
unless mishandling during replacement..?!
But I was just telling you to try it just in case, there is no message displayed.
"It makes a series of 3 beeps then 4 beeps and then pops up that there is an unsupported adapter installed and shuts back down will not go to the startup menu."
