HP All-in-One - 22-3100na (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Good afternoon. Every time i start my all in one up i get 3 long beeps and 4 short beeps. After that everything works fine so I'm a bit confused. I have recently changed my power lead as the beeping started when i found a brake in my old power lead. The new power lead i have is model DL90190474. INPUT 100-240V  - 50-60HZ 3A, OUTPUT 19V, 90W.  Pretty much what my original one had on it, so I'm not sure if this is still the problem. It was the best one i could find.  Any help would be appreciated as this is so annoying.

Go to the below site and put in the serial number for your laptop

https://partsurfer.hp.com/

I believe it will show that 709566-003 is the A/C adapter

https://www.amazon.com/Bestcompu-110-021l-709566-001-709566-003-1000-1403AU/dp/B01LPJ1MWY

The item you listed, DL90190474,  is not listed as 709566-003 compatible which is suspicious.

It may work but you will have to put up with that warning.. Get a batter report and see if it is charging.

you run the battery report by bringing up the administrator command windows "cmd" and running powercfg/batteryreport as shown below

After entering that explorer line you should see something like the following. You will have to click on it as it is long
http://stateson.net/docs/SP4_battery-report.html

The report should show it charging and the battery indicator should also show it charging while laptop is in use.

Thankyou so much for your help. I have discovered since reading your post that this adapter i have is only a 19v and not a 19.5v. I have now found the right one and ordered it.  As for the battery report, this pc is an all in one so all i get is ,   UNEXSPECTED ERROR, THE LIBARY DRIVE OR MEDIA POOL IS EMPTY.

The 0.5 v difference itself is not enough to cause the problem and the battery report should have worked even if there is no battery.  My concern was that your charger did not list any of the HP systems that the other adapter listed.

It should provide a record of A/C usage along with system info such as bios release

Please read the following and try to get the battery report to work.

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-battery-health-report-errors

Try item 2, the SFC scan.  There is a link that explains how to do it.

If it reports that it cannot fix the system then do item 3.

If SFC finds nothing wrong then your system does not support a battery report as you indicated.

Before doing that SFC scan, can you run the HP Support Assistant and see if there are any updates that need to be installed?   The latest support assistant is 9.28.34.0 but that version is different depending on the country you are in.

I am sorry this has not been solved yet.   There is more of a problem then that adapter.

You mentioned 6 beeps.  Has this changed from the 3 long and 4 short?

What was the original problem exactly?  You mentioned the power lead broke.  How did this happen?  For example, one of my kids tripped on the power cord going into his AIO and caused the power-in jack to be damaged.  It cracked and had to be replaced inside the AIO.  I am guessing there is some other damage to your AIO when the lead broke.

Let's look at the BIOS.  I found this on the internet and it should be somewhat similar to your BIOS.

Tap the ESC key or F10 when powering up and get into the BIOS setup. Bring up the MAIN page and make a note of the bios.  Then bring up the LOG page and look for anything related to power problems.  If there is an option to clear the log then clear it.  Bring up configuration and thermals and verify the fans are spinning.  Exit and save the settings

You should have been able to do the battery report.  We should have looked at the problem earlier.  Please try the following

Bring up the windows command prompt but specify "run as administrator" and look at the report for anything unusual

If you still get that error about the LIBRARY DRIVE then try solutions 4 and 5 as explained here

hi, there is no battery report file to delete and in services there is no System Protection Service. Battery report still not working with error message, Unable to perform operation. An unexpected error (0x10d2) has occurred: The library, drive, or media pool is empty.

The problem was just that the lead was trapped behind the table leg for years and to be honest, it had just warn down and broke. It is 3 long and 4 short but now is repeating it again before switching on.. The bios have been updated to latest as of yesterday via hp support assistant. There are no problems listed and fans running.

You listed the 32bit version of windows as your operating system.  Is that correct?

Please provide the Product ID including the characters after the # symbol.

You do not have cloud recovery, sorry

There is a discussion of the HP recovery manager here.

https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/hp-recovery-manager.html

An update for your system is here

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp74001-74500/sp74124.exe

This package provides an update to the HP Recovery Manager application for supported desktop models that are running a supported operating system. HP Recovery Manager enables the reinstallation of original drivers and applications, and creates recovery media to restore the system to factory state. Recovery manager also allows you to recover your system directly from the recovery partition.

Press F11 as described and create a recovery USB as described.  Unfortunately, it may be Windows 7 if your system came with that version of windows.   I do not know resetting to factory will fix the problem or not.   I do not recommend restoring to 7 as it may be difficult to upgrade to 10 but it can be done.
