I need to support some 16/32-bit software so need  Windows 10 32-bit .

I bought an HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Tower and can't get past device inaccessible.

I tried installing using Media Creation Tool from USB and the keyboard and mouse won't work.

I cloned a 32-bit Windows 10 from another machine and applied Hasleo Windows to Go conversion to it.

When I try to boot it from EliteDesk using a StarTech usb dock it also resports device inacccessible.   Tried safe boot from recovery and it fails.

There has got to be some older HP machine that supports legacy boot of Windows 10 32-bit.

I was hoping to get something with the fastest processor possible with a bios that supports 32-bit boot.

Thank you

hi

sorry maybe not possible
it also seems that hp does not provide 32-bit drivers

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-and-Recovery/Anyone-knows-if-the-EliteDesk-8...

you may be looking for a virtual system
In addition, even if you manage to install windows 10 32 bits, but the programs are usable with windows xp / 98, they may not work either!

maybe see this

I have a machine running Windows 10 64-bit host running  Oracle Virtual Box with 32-bit Windows 10 working.
I want a fast machine with 32-bit so I can return the host back to Windows 11 with its expensive components.

I tried virtualbox with a Windows 11 host and NTVDM crashes so I made the host Windows 10 64-bit.

I bought the EliteDesk 800 G4 tower hoping to natively boot 32-bit Windows.
Microsoft still supports 32-bit updates.

I also tried a clone of a 32-bit Windows machine and applied Hasleo windows to go to it.

I put the SSD into the EliteDesk and get device inaccessible.  It shows up fine in Bios boot menu.

Turned off TPM and security features.

I can return the EliteDesk, but love the machine.

The USB Gen 2 ports in the front and back and M.2 support make it a great machine with a 8700 processor.
