This is a recurring issue I am having but I have tried several suggested solutions to no avail.
The boot problem I am having does not happen when I am simply starting up my computer. It occurs following a system freeze and automatic restart. I cannot see an obvious reason for the system crashing, as I only really use my PC for browser-based work.
Following the system freezing (for a varied amount of time, sometimes 10 seconds and sometimes several minutes), the system restarts itself but brings up a black screen with a blue box which reads:
"Boot Device Not Found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk.
Hard Disk (3F0)
F2 - System Diagnostics
For more information, please visit the website or scan the QR Code:"
If I turn the system off and on again, the error is no longer there and I am able to use my computer as normal. However obviously this is not ideal.
So far I have tried:
-Pressing F2 and running diagnostics
All tests run fine. No issues are found. However, Hard Disk is not listed under Components, I have to go into System Tests or Storage Tests I think, to find an option to run the Hard Disk tests (not sure if that matters or not but thought it might be worth mentioning.
-Scanning the QR Code
This takes me to the website, where it first tells me to run the F2 diagnostics as above.
It the tells me to Restore BIOS default settings by restarting my PC and loading the F10 BIOS Setup menu. Press F9 to reset to default settings etc. This appears to have no effect.
-Updating all available drivers from HP website
All tests I run come back telling me that my system is fine, no issues, all PASSED etc. I am not sure where to go from here. It's quite difficult to test solutions as the issue seems to be happening at random.

Hi
Best guess is the system is locking up because your storage device is failing. You should back up data ASAP.
Install a new HDD, or preferably, a new SATA or M.2 NVME SSD if your MB supports M.2 storage devices.
You will have to reinstall the operating system cleanly on the new drive unless you have a recent OS backup image and the required USB recovery boot media needed to move the recovery image from external backup media to the new drive.
