Hi @Wilner
Welcome to the HP support community.
To install an operating system on your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-1070m, you'll typically want to install Windows 10 or Windows 11. Here are the steps to do so:
What You'll Need:
- A USB Flash Drive (at least 8 GB).
- A working computer to create the installation media.
- Windows Installation Media (Windows 10 or Windows 11 ISO).
Step 1: Create Installation Media
Download the Media Creation Tool:
- Go to the Microsoft Download Windows 10 or Windows 11 page.
- Download the Media Creation Tool.
Create the Bootable USB:
- Run the Media Creation Tool.
- Choose Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file).
- Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit).
- Choose USB flash drive as the media to use.
- Follow the prompts to create the bootable USB drive.
Step 2: Boot from the USB Drive
- Insert the USB Drive into your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop.
- Turn on the PC and press the appropriate key to enter the Boot Menu (usually F9, Esc, or F10—this can vary).
- Select the USB Drive from the boot options.
Step 3: Install Windows
- Once booted from the USB, you’ll see the Windows Setup screen.
- Select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, then click Next.
- Click Install Now.
- If prompted, enter your product key. If you don’t have one, you can choose “I don’t have a product key” and activate later.
- Choose the version of Windows you want to install.
- Accept the license terms and click Next.
- Choose Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
- Select the partition where you want to install Windows (if you see multiple partitions, it’s usually best to delete them all and install on the unallocated space, but make sure you back up any important data first).
- Click Next to begin the installation.
Step 4: Complete the Installation
- The installation will take some time and your PC will restart several times.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your account and preferences.
Step 5: Install Drivers
Once Windows is installed, make sure to install the necessary drivers for your hardware:
- Go to the HP support website for your specific model and download the latest drivers.
- Install the drivers for your graphics card, motherboard, and other components.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
