According to HP's beep code definition, the 4-beep error code could be related to your RAM:
What I would do is to disconnect your desktop from power, hold the power switch down for a couple seconds to release any residual power in your PC, open up the case, and use compressed ("canned") air to clean out your motherboard. Once you have done that, carefully remove each RAM stick, and use canned air to blow out each RAM slot before reseating.
