After cleaning the computer and applying some thermal paste on the computer’s CPU (HP h8-1132sc) it won’t turn on. It is beeping five times, with equal length, and won’t send any display signal (black screen).
I’ve tried to more thoroughly clean the two RAM sticks and the area around it and also tested the RAMs individually, but still five beeps. Lastly I’ve tested if the cmos battery is faulty, but that is not the problem either.
Is there something wrong with the CPU and maybe more specifically the CPU socket holder (or whatever it’s called)? (I.e. where the chip is placed)
I’ve read after googling for some time that five beeps means that there is something wrong with the memory and/or motherboard but the memory alternative seems to be out of the question. My main alternative is that there’s something wrong with the CPU socket.
Also, a second question regarding this, if I were to replace the motherboard for this computer, do I only need to check if the dimensions are right, RAM is ddr3 with right frequency and CPU compatability?
As can be seen in the top photo, there are three holes in the top left, is this maybe the problem?

Hi
I see some bent motherboard socket pins, maybe five or six pins, in the upper left corner in your first image. Maybe one bent pin on the upper right side of the socket. Or debris on the pin?
This appears to be the problem.
A local PC tech might be able to fix the bent pins.
Your motherboard, at this link, https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c03152685 is a LGA 1155. Intel H67 chipset.
Check eBay for a used part if you cannot fix the bent socket pins.
