Hi today my 2 new ram sticks came in and after installing them in my pc and removing the old ram sticks the pc beeps 5 times with a red light and after it beeps 5 times for 2/3 times the fans start spinning really hard.
My pc is: Compaq 8000 elite SFF
The new ram sticks: F3-1333c9d-8gns(2x4gb ddr3 1333MHz)
What I tried is: Updating Bios, Trying to boot with the old ram sticks and that did work it still boots with the old one, only putting in 1 of the new ram sticks, changing slots, reseating them, booting without ram and then booting with the new ram, clearing bios with by removing cmos battery and holding power button for 30 secs.

Hi:
That is a very hard model to upgrade the memory in.
The same goes for the 8100 Elite model series.
This is the memory I used in my HP 8000 Elite CMT.

Worked great, and is still working after several years.
This G.Skill memory will also work. It is a different model than what you bought.

You're very welcome.
I am pretty sure it does, or I would not have bothered replying.
You bought the new memory sticks, and they don't work.
One will work with the original stick but not two.
Am I misunderstanding something....the point being when you install the two new memory sticks, they don't work?
That is because they are incompatible with your PC.

With either of the new ram sticks it won't boot. When I put in 1 it doesn't work, when I put in 2 it doesn't work and when I put in the old one and one of the new ones it doesn't work.
And could you explain why they are incompatible? They are 1333MHz which the motherboard (3646h) supports, 1.5 volts, ddr3, unbuffered and non-eec just like the old one.

Hi
Let me throw this into the mix, summat to do with single/double sided perhaps?
Compatible with Intel LGA1155/LGA1156 and AMD AM3 8-series/APU/AM3+ platforms
Plug and play without BIOS configuration
1.5V low voltage
Older generation platforms, such as Intel LGA-775 and AM3 7-series systems, may not be supported.
ANNND
Examples include LGA 775 such as Core 2 Duo and LGA 1156 first generation Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs, these models will need G.Skill model F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT.

Hi, @Henkjanklaas001
They are incompatible because the model memory you bought is of a higher density than the ones the PC needs, and these HP business PC's must use the lowest density memory available.
If you can get either of the memory module's I posted, they will work.
I proved this to be a fact with my own 8000 Elite CMT.
The F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT memory that Lil_Boy_Blue posted is the 2 x 4 GB kit of the G.Skill memory I posted.
It might be cheaper if you can get the two pack.
The high density memory you bought simply will not work under any circumstance.
Please also read this discussion...see Chuck Heston's reply in the supporting link I posted.
"One word about memory for this box. It requires "low density" ram modules. In talking with the G.Skill reps, I was told that the G.SKILL Modules that end in NT are low density modules (i.e. the one you recommended: F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT). The modules that end in NS are high density modules (i.e. F3-1333C9D-8GNS) and are not compatible."
And you can read this discussion too...
