Am trying to diagnose an issue...PC just suddenly would not turn on and boot, push power button, fans spun then turn off.
After further trying to find the issue...I thought it was caused by possibly a bad video card...which I removed then used the onboard video output, but then when the system wouldn't turn on [no blue light on power switch, no fan spin] then I thought...a bad PSU?
I swapped that out with a known working unit and...soon as power lead plugged in...fan spins the 6 beep error code; continuously. Did the google where the common answer was...onboard video chip; or motherboard issue. I then unplugged the onboard, fitted the video card [GTX 1050 Ti in] connected the lead and hit the power button...NOTHING! At all! No blue LED on power button, no fan spin. I removed the CMOS battery...and pressed the ClrCMOS button for 10 secs. Replaced the battery, the video card and connected cables...then plugged the power lead in...hit the power button...absolutely zero; nothing!
My interpretation of all this...is the system board is faulty. Anyone else ave an opinion...a guess...a tip?
Really do not want to scrap the tower...
