PLEASE HELP. 8 BEEPS 2 LONG THEN 2 SHORT.
Hello, I've had my computer for about 2 years now, I was just surfing the web when my computer froze and had a blue screen with something along the lines of "BIOS" and "updating then we will restart"
My dad took out the ram and put it into the other socket, took the battery out for 5 min put it back in. upluged the graphics card and reinstalled it in there aswell. I also did the hold down the power for 5 min. Still beeping 8 times then right after two long then two short beeps. We don't have the money to afford new parts so if there's anything I can do to try to fix it that would be awsome..

Hi:
See the link below for how to troubleshoot the 2.2 beep code error:
HP Desktop PCs - Computer beeps or a light blinks during startup | HP® Support
This condition indicates that the main area (DXE) of the BIOS has become corrupted and no recovery binary image is available. It can also occur when updating the BIOS.
Allow the system to complete its updates and any changes.
Attempt Sure Start Recovery if the updates are not installing as expected.
Please post the full model number or product number of your PC to see if you can make a BIOS recovery flash drive.

You're very welcome.
Below is the link to the latest BIOS update HP has for your PC:
HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-2000a Software and Driver Details
Use another Windows PC to make a USB BIOS recovery drive with the above file.
This link explains how to create a BIOS recovery flash drive.
Updating the BIOS on HP Consumer Desktops outside of Windows 11| HP Computers| HP Support - YouTube
Here is how to use the BIOS recovery flash drive after it has been successfully created:
After you create the USB BIOS recovery drive, follow the instructions that show up after the USB recovery drive has been successfully created.
These should be what the instructions indicate:
1. Power off the device to be recovered.
2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
3. Power on the device.
4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.
Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.
That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

I had just went to the store to grab a new flash drive and followed all the steps, besides the updating then bios, I tried to on my windows 10 but since it is not compatible it didn't seem to work. Still tried to insert the drive but it was no use because my keyboard and mouse will not turn on. I guess there is no way to fix it....?
