Operating System:
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Kernel 5.15.0-131-generic)
Problem Description:
We are seeing ACPI-related errors on an HP system running Ubuntu 20.04 with kernel 5.15. Shortly after boot, the following error appears in journalctl:
ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI1.GPPB.UP00.DP60.XH00], AE_NOT_FOUND
ACPI Error: Aborting method \_GPE._L08 due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND)
ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, while evaluating GPE method [_L08]
This is immediately followed by:
atlantic 0000:05:00.0 eth1: atlantic: link change old 10000 new 0
mpt3sas_cm0: SAS host is non-operational !!!!
These indicate that both the 10G Ethernet adapter and the SAS storage controller fail after the ACPI event.
Is there an updated firmware/BIOS available that corrects this ACPI behavior?
