Looking to see if there's a way to remotely access/change the BIOs remotely. I as looking at the biosconfigutility.exe but do not believe that it provides me with the option I'm looking for. I was testing using the biosconfigutility with a spare machine we have around here and upon saving the configuration I didn't see a setting for any power management really.

I might be looking for a solution that does not exist as I cannot seem to find any information on how to do it other than with physical access to the computer.

Context: We have a few off-site computers used for monitoring/managing. Recently a storm caused some power outages and the computers did not auto-power on. I was sure, although less so now, that these were already set to auto-power on. With no one on these sites able to help, and to avoid driving hours for a simple job, I was looking for ways to remotely ensure auto-power on was set.

hi

Not an expert on this, but I doubt it.
I think that would be a serious security issue.
this would make it possible to access the bios, for anyone
On the other hand, it would be necessary to equip the devices with inverters, backup system in case of power loss

I agree how it seems like a security Issue. To be more elaborate, I mean being able to access the BIOs settings via software. I know i've had a board or 2 in the past that I was able to make changes from the OS (However I cant recall the limitations of the software I was using at the time, as well as it being specific to the manufacturer)
