Operating System: Ubuntu LTS

Hello I have an HP laptop, purchased last year (2021). I have installed Ubuntu on laptop but have forgotten the password. I need to reset the password or reinstall Ubuntu which I have saved to a flashdrive. I am unable to access the Boot/Grub menu. I have tried the shift key, esc, F2,F10, F11, F12. I cannot access menu without a password. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Teresa
