Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d0000 (2V8V2AV)

Hello. I need to get bios password to be able to reinstall OS. Got my serial number code ([Personal Information Removed]). Already used websites like biosbug, but those generated codes do not working. Tried hard reboot, got a few bios errors but this doesn't help as well. Would be glad to get help on how to solve this issue and get bios password.

You don't login to the BIOS to reinstall Windows, so I fail to see why you would need the BIOS password. Please explain.

Boot menu is locked through this administrator password aswell

So, if what you really need is the BIOS password -- you are out of luck.

BIOS (and Power-On) passwords are encoded into the firmware on the motherboard and we have no access of any kind to that.

There is no MASTER BIOS password that works on all PCs or even on all HP PCs. That is an "urban legend" that is simply untrue. If there were such passwords, they would have been posted on the Internet and there would be no value in setting BIOS passwords.

Removing or replacing the BIOS chip does not reset the password, nor does removing the CMOS battery, nor does shorting out the CMOS battery leads.

HP policy is NOT to reset BIOS passwords on existing motherboards -- so changing such a password requires completely replacing the motherboard with a new one that does NOT have a password encoded into the firmware -- and that usually costs a LOT more than simply replacing the computer.

Thanks for the detailed answer. It is logical, that those passwords are unique.
I still have a few questions. This password (BIOS, Power-On), that is called Administrator password, is it one password? I mean all those names belong to one code? Cause all I need is to get into Boot menu, not BIOS. But it is locked. So, at least to try to turn off this password I was trying to get into BIOS. I do not want to reset or change it. What should I do instead, and is it possible to solve this issue at all?

Also, I do not undertand why I'm not able to get into bios, or for example, try to install other OS, to use it as personal working station, why boot menu is locked by administrator password too. It is not enterprise laptop, or similar to it. Moreover, I have a friend with the same victus model, that somehow not facing those problems, and never heard about administrator password. We bought the same models together in one store.

And about those passwords online. I saw a lot of discussions, even within this support forum, where people were able to get Administator password using serial number and product id from official HP support. And there are at least one website, where I can get a few password, using SN, and, for a lot of people this is a solution, but in my case, it doesn't work.

Thanks again for your efforts in helping me!!
