So around 3-4 days ago i decided to make the BIOS update and since then , every day , at random times , the PC would simply freeze . The power button doesn't work , neighter the mouse or the keyboard , i have to unplug the pc every time .
I've tried roll back to the previous version with Win + B and power button , the screen appeared and something downloaded , but it was the same version that cause the problem .
All other drivers and the windows are up to date and i have no hardware problems either .
Anything i can do ?

Hi
Again, HP usually prevents going back to a previous BIOS version.
This site: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-pc-690-0000i/1... has the latest BIOS update, F.55 Rev.A , for your motherboard.
Scroll down to and open Revision History. Continue scrolling until you see previous version download options. Try F.54 Rev.A.
It may not take if HP has locked the latest BIOS version. You're pretty much stuck if you cannot go back to an earlier BIOS version.

Hi
BIOS updates are usually benign unless HP has released a bad BIOS update. HP BIOS updates usually prevent reinstalling previous BIOS versions.
I would run HP Hardware Diagnostics at startup if you have not used this option. You stated you have no hardware problems but this problem is usually hardware, or system file corruption, or a bad device driver.
Start the PC. Tap the "ESC" key. Select "F2".
Run system and component tests to check hardware.
Run a check disk. Open an elevated command prompt.
Run each command to check system files:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Then run the next command after the first operation is complete:
sfc /scannow

Have done everything you suggested .
Hardware diagnostics came out green with no problems and run all dism commands and again , everything looked fine and no problems been detected .
Probably it was a either o BIOS bad update or some other driver that causes the PC to freeze at random . I'll try and wait for the next update/s .
EDIT : And in froze again , had to unplug it .
EDIT #2 : I checked the reliability monitor and on 01/19/2023 i've done the BIOS update and from that day it keep hard freeze daily at random times . I need a way to revert that update since i can't wait a few months untill a new update drops and hope that one would fix something .

Yes ... i'm very much stuck for the next 1 or 3 months untill the next update would come .
I manage to find the older version , made a recovery stick , installed it and when it finished , it didn't change anything , still the current buggy version .
Well ... in that case , thanks for help .

This freeze issue is happening to many people that updated the bios from windows update to version F.57.
I just hope that HP fix this soon since I am not able to use my computer. I use my computer for work not gaming. For now I am using an old Dell laptop pc, but many people with this issue don't have other options available.

Yes, same problem. I use my HP Pavilion 690 as a Media Server, so it's on all the time. After the 15.57 BIOS update it
FREEZES up at Random times, mostly many hours later.
PC Monitor looks good, no Win messages, nothing, just the last Desktop screen and all looks good, but the Cursor won't move, the Keyboard doesn't respond, NOTHING. So, Power Down and Power Up and all is good again until it happens again, 100% of the time it Freezes up again.
- I fixed this by Downloading and Installing the free Windows Power Toys from the Microsoft Store.
- Activate the 'AWAKE' Option. This keeps the PC Active and I won't Freeze up again. Yes, a Bandage on the problem, but it works great for now.
