HPE-480t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an old computer from a friend that is an HPE-480t. I've been trying to fix it up so that I can give it a new life. The computer keeps giving me a black screen with a system fan error, even though all fans in the system seem to be running fine. The fans just run really loud and really fast, which leads me to believe that I need to reflash the BIOs. However, I just cannot find any BIOs files for the HPE-480t.

What can I do to fix the system fan error? I've managed to get into the HP diagnostic tool, and it says everything in the system is fine. The only option the tool gives me is to "Press R to reboot".

@jamie_2022,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

An HP HPE-480t is fitted with a Pegatron motherboard (SSID: 2A86) also known as an IPMTB-TK Motherboard. The latest BIOS update would be v6.16, which you can download from the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-490t CTO Desktop PC drivers page (same motherboard) here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-pavilion-elite-hpe-desktop-pc-series/model/5061007:
