HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r159c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My BIOS is corrupted on my HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-r159c and I am trying to recover it using the standard HP process.  It gets to the BIOS recovery screen and begins copying the BIOS and gets to between 50% and 70% and then freezes.  I end up having to do a hard shut-down.

I've tried:

- recovering from the original SSD (from the special partition)

- recovering from multiple different USB flash drives

- multiple different versions of the BIOS (there are 5 different ones available on the HP site for this PC)

- removing one of the two RAM memory sticks (tried with both, only the 4GB, only the 8GB)

Every time it does the same thing and freezes partway through.  I also tried doing the "Clear CMOS" by connecting pins 3-4 on the motherboard to see if that would work.

Any idea what would cause this and what I can do to fix it?

Every time it does the same thing.
