Visited the HP website to check for updates. It offered a firmware update for my SSD. After firmware update, HP offered a Bios update. I hit continue and the Bios update started. After restart the pop up said Bios Update failed. It then starts a countdown from 15 secs and just keep recycling without giving ANY option to manually install Bios. I put everything I need on a thumb drive. Can't get to the menu or thumbdrive to load anything. The pc just goes in circles. Super frustrating. HP offers the bios update, then it fails so I can pay them to fix a problem they created. Their Bios apparently offers no backup bios image, nor gives any option to manually install. UNREAL! I am ready to strip any good parts and throw it in the trash. Never again will I buy a HP PC. Accessories, yes. But PC no way! I was going to just throw in a matx MB but they use a custom form factor, and what the heck it up with a 180watt PSU? HP still living in 1983? 180 watts!!! Its like a using a rotary telephone. 180 watt PSU only exists with HP. No such thing in the open market. I never build with less than 500 watts, NEVER! HP keep using your customized motherboards and PSU and your satisfaction rating will be in the drain, if it isn't already. What a piece of garbage. You brick my MB then you expect me to pay for the phone call to fix it. WOW really big balls.

Yea, not good, I hear you.
Call tech support an complain. You are not the only one https://www.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
You have Erica 5 motherboard.
Try a reset of the CMOS. Unplug from wall and press the power button to discharge any residual electricity
Either remove the battery or move both pair of blue jumpers (if any) to the adjacent posts on the left.
put back in after 20 second and power back up.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty
Some store give extended warranty
if you can get the keyboard to respond you might be able to use that windows key plus "B" to restore the bios.
if out of warranty then ...
Look for a part number on the motherboard, for example (just guessing) L56021-604 or L56021-004
find motherboard at eBay or Aliexpress, Probably $100 usd. Only number important are the first 6.
good luck.
