HP Pavilion All-in-One 24
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently downloaded a BIOS update. The update totally screwed up my Security - such that I cannot gain access to my computer.

I did manage to access my BIOS - and change the PIN number to a new number - but that has failed.

I am very angry with HP. There were no warnings that the update could have such an effect.

@MARTINH222 -- are you writing about a "power-on" password when you write "PIN", or are you referring to a PIN that you enter when Windows is starting-up?

The rules of this forum prohibit giving any assistance to you related to "passwords", and/or how to bypass them.

Hi,

Thanks for responding. When I powered up, the screen requiring a PIN presented itself in the usual way. The system would not accept my normal PIN number - so in desperation I went into the BIOS (Reset while pressing Shift key) and did a PIN number change, hoping that would cure the issue. It didn't.
