I am currently restoring a P7-1148P to working condition. I need the Last current Bios file so I can reflash the bios and make sure its up to date. currently the wired network controller is not working and the board is only using a wireless network connection. I want to get the ethernet contoller to work as when a Dell driver is used it reports back that the network card is not installed. could the chip be bad? or is it the bios? in any case I want to get the wired network connection working. if its not available to repair then the last solution will be to add a PCIe X1 network adapter into the system to get a wired connection. also I would like to know if the motherboard is suppose to support up to 16GB of DDR3 ram.

hi
"I want to get the ethernet contoller to work as when a Dell driver is used it reports back that the network card is not installed"
you have an hp computer and you are trying a dell driver, isn't that why it won't install?
If you update the bios, if there is one available
you might crash the computer, and it might not solve your problem here at all
