Elitedesk G2 800 mini
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, Happy Friday! :0) I have bought a secondhand mini G2 800, just can't get into BIOS management as password protected and do not know password.  I want to boot to a USB so that I can clone NVME and upgrade.

Does the community have any ideas?

Best

Nick

Hi:

See the service manual at the link below, chapter 8, starting on page 110 - 111 for how to clear the password.

If that does not work then the previous owner set the stringent security option in the BIOS and you will not be able to clear the password.  See the Caution note regarding stringent security on page 110.
