Product: HP All-in-One - 24-g237c

My al-in-one is out of warranty. I'm using the latest version of HP Support Assistant which indicates a bios update (F.70) is available for download and update.  My current bios version is AMI F.49, 2/23/2022.  The installation consistently fails. The error message indicates the bios update is older than my current version - which makes no sense to me. 

Can anyone comment on what they think is happening here.
