I was doing a Windows update and noticed 2 HP optional update were pending. I downloaded both. The pc then restarted and and began a bios update. It either stopped or finished the last 30% really quickly. It then rebooted but won't load the bios. The internal lights come on and the fans run up but goes no further. I've tried the windows B button thing but I'm not sure the keyboard even has power as the lights on the keyboard aren't on. Anyone got a solution?

Hi

It would seem you may need to contact HP Support if you can't do a BIOS recovery after the bad BIOS update.

Some HP PCs can do a BIOS update using a USB stick. Download and run the BIOS update for your PC using a different PC at this link

See if you can create BIOS installation media on an external USB stick. Creating a BIOS boot stick may not be available if you don't see the option when you run the BIOS executable.

Boot to the stick on the HP PC.

Tried this. I could not create USB BIOS boot media. You will have to contact HP Support.
