HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-r014

My computer is saying it can recover and is showing a blue screen. When I click on trouble shoot I have done all the things and it just keeps saying the system could not recover. It has been working great and then boom this… when it fist turns on it said diagnosing and then it goes to a Startup Repair screen.

Hi @SherryFitz

This sounds like a boot loader problem but could be hardware.

Run HP Diagnostics: start your PC. Repeatedly tap "ESC".

Select "F2". Run component tests.

Corrupted boot files are a PITA to fix. I haven't had much luck using various fixes.

Check this Site for tips. I usually bite the bullet. Remove the system disk. Connect this disk to a different PC as a data drive. Back up stuff in your USER folder to the host PC or external media.

I also use backup and recovery tools. You can restore a known, good system image from a backup if the hardware is okay.

Reinstall Windows clean (W10 or W11??), you did not specify the operating system, or use HP Cloud Recovery

HP seems to have installed W10 at the factory.
