@GentPC, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!
I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.
I understand your HP Pavilion 27 All-in-One PC is showing a black screen and not booting up, even after attempting a hardware reboot. Let’s walk through a few steps to help resolve this issue.
Perform a Power Reset
This helps clear residual power and can fix startup issues.
- Turn off the PC and unplug the power cord.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and try turning it on again.
Check the Display
Ensure the issue isn’t with the display itself.
- Shine a flashlight at an angle on the screen. If you see a faint image, the backlight may be faulty.
- Try connecting an external monitor via HDMI (if available) to check if the system is booting but the display is not working.
Listen for Beeps or Fan Noise
- Do you hear any beep codes, fan spinning, or hard drive activity?
- If yes, note the pattern of beeps, they can indicate specific hardware issues.
Try BIOS Recovery
HP systems often support BIOS recovery from a black screen.
- Turn off the PC.
- Press and hold Windows key + B, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release the power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
- If successful, the BIOS recovery screen should appear.
Disconnect Peripherals
- Unplug all USB devices, SD cards, and external drives.
- Try booting with only the power cable and keyboard/mouse connected.
Reseat RAM (if accessible)
If you're comfortable opening the back panel:
- Power off and unplug the PC.
- Remove and reinsert the RAM modules.
- This can resolve issues caused by poor contact.
If none of the above steps work, the issue may be hardware-related, in that case, please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
