I was running trying a game in Roblox on my laptop ofc it was laggy but suddenly the game crashed and the laptop screen froze , I thought shutdown might help and did it by turning off the power button
And then after turning on the laptop the screen went blank ,nothing on the screen just blank screen with loud fan noise and I did everything I would do like bios update , 15 sec power button hold , soft restart and UEFI diagnostic also but nothing worked

Hi @Joey160,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect all external devices (mouse, keyboard, external drives).
- Unplug the power adapter.
- Hold down the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the power adapter and turn on the laptop.
BIOS Update via Recovery:
- Since you mentioned a BIOS update, make sure it was done properly.
- If the update appears to have failed, you can recover the BIOS using a USB thumb drive:
- Create a BIOS recovery USB (download BIOS update from HP website).
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold the Windows + B keys simultaneously, and then press the power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release the power button but continue holding the Windows + B keys until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
Checking for Power Issues:
- Ensure that the power source and adapter are working properly. Try a different power adapter, if available.
Reset Display Settings:
- Connect the laptop to an external monitor to see if the display is working externally.
- If the external monitor displays correctly, it may be an issue with the internal display settings:
- While connected to the external monitor, right-click on the desktop > Display Settings > Detect other display.
- Set the external monitor as the primary display and check for any updates or configurations.
Running Diagnostics:
- Run UEFI diagnostics to check for hardware issues:
- Turn on the laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly (about once every second) until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F2 to open the UEFI Diagnostics menu.
- Run the "System Test" to check the hardware components for any failures.
Safe Mode Boot:
- Try booting into Safe Mode to potentially bypass any software issues:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press the power button to turn the laptop on and keep pressing F8 as soon as the laptop starts to boot.
- Select Safe Mode from the Advanced Boot Options.
I hope this helps.
