My computer started giving blue page errors then would restart and go back to blue page errors and restart and keep doing it. Wouldn't give me a chance to figure anything out. Now my computer won't turn on. The power button just blinks on and off. When I plug it in the power button by the power cord says it's charging so I don't think it's a power issue. Any help would be much appreciated. It's only a year old computer.

Hi @B_R2
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your computer is stuck in a frustrating loop, and now it won't start properly.
Since the power button is blinking and the charging light is on, this suggests the issue might be related to hardware or firmware rather than power. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the power cord and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power cord, then try turning on the computer.
2. Check for Error Codes
- If the power button is blinking in a specific pattern, it may indicate an error code. Refer to your computer's user manual or the HP Support page to decode the blinking pattern.
3. Boot into BIOS
- Press Esc or F10 repeatedly as you turn on the computer to access the BIOS menu.
- Check if the BIOS recognizes your hard drive and other components.
- If accessible, restore BIOS settings to default.
4. Test with External Devices
- Disconnect all peripherals (e.g., mouse, keyboard, external drives) and try starting the computer. Faulty peripherals can sometimes cause startup issues.
5. Run Hardware Diagnostics
- Restart the computer and press F2 repeatedly to access the diagnostics menu.
- Run tests for the memory, storage, and other hardware components.
6. Attempt Safe Mode
- If the computer starts but keeps restarting, try booting into Safe Mode:
- Press F8 repeatedly during startup.
- Select Safe Mode and see if the issue persists.
7. Inspect the RAM
- If you're comfortable opening your computer, remove and reseat the RAM modules. Faulty or loose RAM can cause blue screen errors.
