Hi @ifilmu01,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Did this issue start suddenly, or after a Windows update or hardware change?
  • Do you hear the hard drive spinning or see any activity lights when the PC powers on?
  • Have you recently added or removed any storage devices (like SSDs, HDDs, or external drives)?

Here are some steps you can try:

  • Check BIOS settings: Restart the PC and press F10 to enter BIOS. Verify that the hard drive/SSD is detected under Storage.
  • Run HP Hardware Diagnostics: On startup, press F2 to launch diagnostics. Run a test on the hard drive to check for errors.
  • Boot order: In BIOS, ensure the system drive is set as the first boot device.
  • Recovery options: If the drive is detected but Windows won’t load, you may need to use Windows recovery media (USB) to repair the boot sector.(But ensure data is backed up before option this option)

I hope this helps.
