HP ProDesk 400 G2.5 Small Form Factor PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I power up my PC it hangs at the BIOS stage with the boot drive not found message on every other start.  If I turn it off at the power switch and power up again it boots to Windows normally.

It does not matter how much time elapses between boots, it still only boots correctly every other time.    If I shut down from Windows and power up again straight away or the next day, I always get the hard drive not found error.    If I just power off from the error message, the next power on will boot normally whether it is straight away or the next day.

The drive in an SSD.  I have played with the BIOS settings to no avail.  Should I reflash the BIOS?

Any ideas anyone?
