I have a HP laptop - HP 14-dk1000 Lantop PC (8VZOZAV)

my computer crashed last night for no apparent reason. I start it up and it gives error message - boot device not found - hard disk 3F0- I ran a test on the drive and the smart check psssed but the short dst check failed. The failure ID is - M4PC1X-ABBB01-MFGG2K-60TM03 . Product id is- 1YBXBUA#ABA . The warranty expired 5 days ago of course. Someone please help since I have to pay money to just speak to someone .

@Lopez-1010

The failure code you provided is invalid --but even if it was valid, all it would say is that your drive failed.

There is nothing we here can do about this, and nothing that HP will do because your warranty has expired.

You would have to replace the failed drive.

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
