Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought an SSD for my computer and used a software to clone my hdd to the SSD, once completed I unplugged the HDD and connected the ssd to the dark blue sata port to ensure it boots up using the SSD. But the mother board doesn't find my SSD, so I get a non system disk error after it tries to boot off the network.

Maybe I need to change boot menu or bios settings?

I'm lost.

@FpsVeto

I have two concerns ...

First, I don't know exactly HOW you cloned the HDD.  Lots of folks say "clone" but they don't realize it means to make an EXACT COPY, while all many of them do is copy a single partition -- which is not enough to make the SSD bootable.  If you used a cloning app, please tell us what it was.

Second, my own preference is for using Macrium Reflect to do such cloning -- as I have found it NEVER to fail on me.

What I recommend is the following:
1) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR) from here: https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree
2) Connect the new drive to the PC
3) Follow the instructions in this link: http://knowledgebase.macrium.com/display/KNOW/Cloning+a+disk
4) Shutdown the PC when done
5) Swap the drives and reboot the PC.

NOTE: To do this easily, the SDD has to be the same capacity as the HDD.  IF you get an SDD that is a lot smaller, then before you do the cloning, you have to shrink the largest partition on the HDD (usually the OS partition), to the size such that it, and the other partitions, fit easily on the SSD.

You should boot from the new drive without any problems.
