The pc is fairly new, it was working all fine but next day whenever i turn it on i get the choose PXE over IPV4/6 error so i went into the BIOS and enabled legacy support instead of secure boot but now it shows me this error. I have done the harddrive tests and they all passed, What do i do?

Hi:

What I think happened is the PC can't find any bootable device, so it is trying to boot from the ethernet adapter to fire up the PC.

The no boot disk has been detected means the operating system is either missing or corrupted.

That may be due to you changing the BIOS settings, or the operating system's boot structure became corrupt before you changed the settings.

Since the drive test passed, I would suggest that you reinstall Windows 10 with legacy boot enabled, and see if that resolves the problem.

You don't need UEFI enabled unless you have a drive greater than 2 GB installed.

See if you can reinstall W10 using the cloud recovery client software.   See the link below for more information...

Thanks for your time but i don’t understand how am i supposed to download the recovery tool when my pc won’t even boot, do i need another computer?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

Yes, you would need access to another Windows PC to create the cloud recovery media.

Oh, well thanks for the help. I will try this when i get the chance. But is there any other solution that doesn’t require another computer?

Anytime.

There aren't any I can think of, because even if you want to make a plain W10 installation USB flash drive or DVD and use the repair option to see if you can fix the issue you are having, you are still going to need another Windows PC to create the installation media using the W10 media creation tool.
