Boot up issue

Hp slimline 403
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My computer has been running fine for the three years since I've purchased it now two days ago I turn it on and on the screen it says no signal input check video cables. I've made sure everything was firmly plugged in but it still says it . now I can't get my computer to work.

Boot up issue

@Sweets307

Welcome to the HP Forums,

We'll be with you until it's all sorted & beyond!

To help determine if the problem is caused by the computer, turn on the computer and listen to it. Look at the computer's lights. What do you notice?

  • If the computer is making a beeping sound when turned on, a card, cable, memory module, or processor inside the computer might be loose. Go to Reseat loose internal components to check for loose components.

  • Do you hear the computer's fan spinning? If you do not hear noise from the fans and the power light on the computer are not on, the problem is related to the computer, not the display. To continue troubleshooting a computer that does not start, refer to HP Guided Solution - No Power or No Boot Troubleshooting.

  • If you can hear the computer's fan spin and see lights on the computer, the problem is probably caused by the video cable connection or the display.

I hope that answers your query,

@Sweets307

If nothing changed after you went through the steps, I suggest you talk to an HP tech and discuss your options of repairing the device:

follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Boot up issue

Nothing changed after I went through the steps so I took it to one of the computer specialists listed today and was told my hp pc is garbage. It would not connect to their screens at all. The motherboard is dead. I bought this pc three years ago. I was told it was manufactured almost 10 years ago. I am not happy at all. I spent a lot of money with hp to purchase this pc and to be told it is already dead is very upsetting because my kids use this for school .

@Sweets307 I understand your concern and I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
