Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear all,

Suddenly my following desktop start booting itself after shutdown and giving the following error.

I have run Hard drive and Memory test (F2) and the result of both is PASSED.

The weird thing is if I press on Ctrl+Alt+Del the computer reboot and load the operating systerm.

I have checked the BIOS for boot order and found the HDD is the first choice.

What is the solution for this annoying problem pleaseeeeeeee

Hi

Make backups and recovery media as a pre-caution against HDD failure.

Test/Replace the CMOS/RTC battery.  Is the TIME/DATE maintained when powered off?

HP Recommended

Yes, the date and time is correct.

I was thinking the HDD is defective but I ra n the HDD with HP POST tools and it passed.

I will ask when I go to Best Buy today. Hopefully they will respond soon so I do not have to make the trip. I will let you know asap.

Hi

Without any real helpful info, it is difficult to offer any help.

I, ME PERSONALLY, would make a DVD/USB from here and investigate...

https://lubuntu.net/downloads/

Loss of the OS could be a failing hard disk, corrupted software, BIOS problem etc etc.

You could list what action you have so far tried.

I am going to replace the hard drive with an SSD and see if this is gona solve the issue or not.

Excellent first step.

I confirm the issue is from the hard drive.

I have contacted the local authorized resller in Lebanon and they will send their support guy to inspect the hard drive.

I need to contact someone in HP in case the resller refused to replace the faulty hard drive.
