That message would typically mean the hard drive has failed. However, depending on the hardware variations installed, it could mean other problems. First run the diagnostics to see if there are any hardware issues and then report back with the results.
You can enter the Diagnostics by tapping Esc and then pressing the start button. Keep tapping Esc until the popup menu shows. Then pick the F2, Diagnostics and let it run until completed.
