Hp t740 thin client
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ok so my step-dad got this out of an apartment bc he is a maintenance man and he gets stuff that people leave. It has a version of Linux on it and a can't figure out how to get rid of the Linux and get win 10 on it. So I tried to just boot from an external hard drive after disconnecting the m.2 with Linux on it. I tried a straight boot but it says that there is no os on the drive. I know there is. I booted up a different computer with it 10 min prior. I did a hard drive check and it recognized it was there checked it and said it was good. But I still says that there isn't an os on it/ there is no drive when I try and boot afterwards. Any ideas?

Hi:

 

I have a T630 and removed the 8 GB M.2 SATA SSD it came with and installed a 250 GB SATA SSD.

 

Booted from a W10 USB flash drive and installed W10 on the thin client with no problem.

 

The T740 supports the faster performing NVMe M.2 SSD's.
