z400
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I noticed that my system time in Z400 keeps on reseting even though I just newly replace the CMOS Battery..

Is it because of the CMOS Battery of is there anything else that I should know?

Hi,

Shut down the unit and wait for 5 sec

Remove CMOS battery

Press and hold down on power button for 30 sec and install CMOS battery, where you will get POST error to reset time and date.

Try above steps and let me know.

Ruben

just to clarify :

1st is to Shut down the unit/computer and wait for 5 sec (should i removed the power cord/plug as well?)

2nd Remove CMOS battery (while PC is shutdown/off right ?)

3rd Press and hold down on power button for 30 sec and install CMOS battery, where you will get POST error to reset time and date. (I will press and hold the power button for 30 sec and after that I will install the CMOS baterry when the error message about the time and date show's in the screen correct?)

I will try this later once i'm home after my shift.

Also just to add

I noticed that when I plug the avr and turn it on my unit/deskstop also automatically turns on. without me pressing the power button of the desktop..

is that bad or its just normal?
