CMOS Reset (502).jpg

Hello,

For the past few days, I've been having trouble shutting down and booting up.

I get this "CMOS checksum is invalid..." message and I've tried everything I can think of but I'm about out of ideas.

I've already tried replacing the CMOS battery, clearing the CMOS by swapping the jumper, reinstalled the BIOS, downgraded and re-updated the BIOS, and I'm not sure what else to try other than replacing the motherboard.

And on that note, I can't find any spare Edoras motherboards online. Can I buy directly from HP? Does anyone now of specific mobos that fit inside the case?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? Has anyone else had it?

@theoneburger

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

To resolve a BIOS issue, install the latest BIOS for your computer. See Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers for more information.

Refer to one of the following links for information about restoring the BIOS on your computer:

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
