Thanks for the screenshots of the F2 - system diagnostics results. It is puzzling that it says
Testing Drive 1 Short DST - Passed
Testing Drive 1 Long DST - Passed
but then says - Storage Availability - No Storage Installed.
Looking over the thread, it seems that you have Windows 11 installed. The spec page for that model indicates it came with Windows 10. It would seem that there is still a mystery. I would suggest making the Windows 11 install media and then boot to the new media by using F9 from the BIOS menu, pick the USB from the menu and then boot to that media.
If you need the install media for Windows 10 or Windows 11, you can make it from this Microsoft download
Pick the Windows version you need and follow the directions to make the media using a working PC.
You can make either the DVD or USB. Use this new media to install Windows 10 or 11, whichever you choose.
When it asks for the install type pick Custom
When the install asks for the product key, click the "I don't have a product key" option to continue,
then the install will continue. It will be activated once it connects to the internet, as it uses a digital key.

Further to the lack of boot-up with a Windows Recovery USB, the HP A-I-O will not start beyond powering on but with a blank screen. Hnded the A-I-O to a local professional computer technician yesterday. His investigation reveals that the SSD HD cards have failed and are dead. As these hold confidential data including the access key to the encrypted 1TB HDD, access is currently not possible to retrieve my data. He is now considering ways to access the HDD, I assume upon removal from the A-I-O.
Any thoughts?

Well, that is not good. IDK how to get data from a failed SSD that is a M2. I know there are ways to achieve data recovery from a mechanical drive but Good luck.
Please report back with further news.

Hi to The Old Man. My local tech took my A-in-O away for further investigation. Access to the hard drive required the password on the failed SSD cards. He was clever enough to find a way to access the HDD and down loaded all c: and d: drives data to my local 2Tb drive. Now in process of transferring data to a new MSI Cube Core 7 Pro Office Pc. Thanks for all your help BrendanC3

Glad to hear that the data was recovered. I see you decided to move to a new PC, so good luck with that adventure.
