HP Pro 3400 MT
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello friends,

My friend has a Desktop Computer HP Pro 3400 MT (LH129EA) with the following processor:

https://ark.intel.com/products/53483/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G630-3M-Cache-2_70-GHz

To increase the speed of her computer, on my recommendation, we ordered the following processor:

https://ark.intel.com/products/65693/Intel-Core-i3-3220-Processor-3M-Cache-3_30-GHz

With this processor, the computer does not start ?!  I upgraded the BIOS, but without changes!?

The motherboard chipset is Intel H61 and according to the manufacturer, (Intel) this processor is compatible with this MB:

http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/H61_Express.html

But for hp it does not apply, "They are a special story"
Now tell me, you, "EXPERTS" from hp, where did you manipulate the BIOS, so as not to recognize all these processors from the previous list ?!

Which poor processors are now compatible with your "perfect" product ?!

Thank you in advance for your help.

1. From: HP Pro 3400 and 3410 Microtower PC Product Specifications

Processors:

Intel Core i3 processors:

•Intel Core i3-2100 processor (3.1 GHz, 6MB cache, 2C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics)
•Intel Core i3-2105 processor (3.1 GHz, 6MB cache, 2C/4T, Turbo, HD 3000 Graphics)
•Intel Core i3-2120 processor (3.3 GHz, 6MB cache, 2C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics)
•Intel Core i3-2130 processor (3.4 GHz, 6MB cache, 2C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics)

Intel Core i5 processors:

•Intel Core i5-2300 processor (2.8 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.1 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
•Intel Core i5-2310 processor (2.9 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.2 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
• Intel Core i5-2320 processor (3.0 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.3 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
• Intel Core i5-2400 processor (3.1 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.4 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
• Intel Core i5-2400s processor (2.5 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.3 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
• Intel Core i5-2405s processor (2.5 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 3000 Graphics) Up to 3.3 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
• Intel Core i5-2500 processor (3.3 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.7 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology
•Intel Core i5-2500s Processor (2.7 GHz, 6MB cache, 4C/4T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.7 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology

Intel Core i7 processors:

•Intel Core i7-2600 processor (3.4 GHz, 8MB cache, 4C/8T, Turbo, HD 2000 Graphics) Up to 3.8 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology

Intel Pentium processors:

•Intel Pentium G620 processor (2.6 GHz, 3MB cache, 2C/2T)
•Intel Pentium G630 processor (2.7 GHz, 3MB cache, 2C/2T)
•Intel Pentium G840 processor (2.8 GHz, 3MB cache, 2C/2T)
•Intel Pentium G850 processor (2.9 GHz, 3MB cache, 2C/2T)
•Intel Pentium G860 processor (3.0 GHz, 3MB cache, 2C/2T)

Intel Celeron processors:

• Intel Celeron G440 processor (1.6 GHz, 1MB cache, 1C/1T)

Intel Celeron (dual-core) processors:

•Intel Celeron G530 processor (2.4 GHz, 2MB cache, 2C/2T)
•Intel Celeron G540 processor (2.5 GHz, 2MB cache, 2C/2T)

But, you purchased: Intel Core i3 3220 Processor 3M Cache 3.30 GHz

which is not on the above list. Did you purchase it from HP? Did HP advise you to purchase this item?

2. The only BIOS-update I found was from 2013 -- a long time ago, and its "details" do not mention any update to support "new" processors.

3. Attempting to insult HP is bad manners, but it is a good way for you to get ignored on this forum.
