Greetings!

I have had this problem for maybe over a year now.

My PC refuses to boot and instead a red light beeps 5 times on the CPU.

I heard it meant there was a memory problem and a solution I read online was to reseat your ram stick, which I did, maybe twice or thrice but it still didn't open. 

Would really appreciate some help. 

If nothing works, resetting the whole thing is also acceptable for me but I do need instruction on how to do that without my PC booting. This would also be a last resort. 

Model: HP Compaq 6005 pro (small form factor)

See the troubleshooting guide at the link below, Appendix A, page 58 for how to troubleshoot the 5-beep code error.

If your PC only has one memory chip, most likely it will need to be replaced if you have already tried reseating it multiple times.
